Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) uses heat to disrupt pain signals from targeted nerves. It is commonly used for facet joint–related spine pain after diagnostic blocks confirm the likely pain generator.

Peripheral nerve block
A peripheral nerve block uses local anaesthetic (sometimes with other medicines) near a nerve to reduce pain and sometimes improve diagnostic clarity. It can be used for acute pain, procedural pain, or chronic pain targets.

Tubular microsurgery
Tubular microsurgery is a minimally invasive spine technique that uses a small tube to access the spine with less muscle disruption. It may reduce post-operative pain and speed up early recovery for selected conditions.

Intra-articular corticosteroid injection
A corticosteroid joint injection places anti-inflammatory medicine inside a joint to reduce pain and stiffness in selected inflammatory or degenerative conditions. Relief is usually time-limited and works best alongside rehabilitation.

Spinal fusion
Spinal fusion is surgery that stabilises a painful or unstable spinal segment by encouraging two or more vertebrae to heal together. It can help selected conditions such as instability, deformity, or certain causes of nerve compression.

Calcification barbotage (ultrasound-guided lavage)
Calcification barbotage uses ultrasound guidance to wash out calcium deposits in tendons (commonly the rotator cuff) to reduce pain and improve movement when calcific tendinitis is the driver.

Disc replacement
Artificial disc replacement (arthroplasty) aims to preserve motion at a spinal segment while reducing pain from a damaged disc in selected patients. Suitability depends on diagnosis, level, and overall spine stability.
